DHA38 conference – call for abstract
The Dyes in History and Archaeology (DHA) is an annual conference that focuses on the discussion of dyes and organic pigments applied in the past. This includes their history, production, application and properties, as well as their analytical characterisation and identification, mainly in textile objects, but also on painted surfaces. Every year, the meeting attracts conservators, curators, (technical) art historians, craftsmen, artists, independent scholars, scientists and academics from museums, universities, research centres and other public or private institutions.
The DHA38 will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on 7 and 8 November 2019. The meeting will be organized by the University of Amsterdam (UvA), in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE), the Rijksmuseum and the ErfgoedAcademie (HeritageAcademy).
