Research Laboratory for Historical Monuments

Created in 1970, the LRMH is a national public service of the Ministry of Culture dedicated to research on the conservation of historical buildings and located in the outbuildings of the castle of Champs sur Marne near Paris. The resource center of the LRMH is holding nearly 30.000 French and international references concerning heritage, heritage science, monuments and curation of historical monuments. Amongst those publication the center is keeping the 1900 scientific reports produced by the LRMH since 1970 and 40.000 pictures, samples, cross sections and reference materials. All those resources are available on site or on our internet database. Half of our titles are in a foreign language (English, Spanish, German…). All facilities can be provided for an international researcher including an office with wifi, computer, printer, scan and the support of the librarian team. Moreover the LRMH can receive researchers in an apartment situated nearby the resource center.
